It was a tremendous honour to be at last week’s Siemens Music Foundation Prize Ceremony, on behalf of Riot Ensemble (who were awarded one of the inaugural Ensemble Prizes). Unusually, this year’s concert featured six young composers, as those who were awarded last year were also recognised at this year’s event.

I spent this past week at the extraordinary Villecroze Academie Musique working on a new recording of Lera Auerbach’s 24 preludes for cello and piano with Reiko Tsuchida and Tessa Seymour. Recording due in early 2022!
